Introducing the 2024 Summit Scholarship Class — AWE Summit Scholarship Foundation

This year, all applicants, supporters, and sponsors came together at the AWE Summit Scholarship Foundation. In 2024, we received nearly 700 applications from adventurers aged 15 to 71 from 51 countries. So this March, when the AWE Summit Scholarship Foundation sat down to select just 13 scholarship recipients, we were once again equally inspired to consider all of your powerful and compelling words. I was faced with a demanding and heart-wrenching job.

We have no doubt that everyone who applied deserves to receive this scholarship, and we want them to know how grateful we are for applying and making their voices heard. I would like to once again thank everyone at the AWE Summit Scholarship Foundation.

Today is an important day. We are pleased to announce and celebrate the 13 individuals selected to be part of the 2024 Summit Scholarship Cohort. These adventurers come from different parts of the world, including Ethiopia, Kenya, Pakistan, and the United States. They also come from all walks of life, including individuals who identify as nonbinary, Muslim, or everything in between. 2024 is one of our most diverse cohorts ever, and we couldn’t do it without your applications and community support.

As in past years, the Summit Scholarship Program is made possible by the generous and steady contributions of partners and contributors such as Nite Ize, The Cairn Project, Lucy Westlake, Jeannette McGill, LOWA, LEKI, The Venture Out Project, AWExpeditions, among others. It has become. . We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the brands and individuals who have supported Summit Scholarships, and we would also like to thank those who have purchased Summit Scholarships. 2024 Women’s Climbing Calendar. Proceeds from this calendar go directly to Summit Scholarships and help us add more mountaineering and backcountry scholarships to our lineup each year. We created this annual calendar because we know representation and storytelling are important. It’s hard to be invisible. When you purchase a calendar, you’re not only funding your Summit Scholarship dream, you’re also helping fuel your own big mountain dreams.

Without further ado, we would like to introduce the Summit Scholarship Class of 2024.

“For most of my life, I have felt strongly about who I am. Confidence has never been an issue for me, especially when I was younger. But there is one thing that makes me feel small. I distinctly remember the day I faced it.
